flywheel problem
flywheel problem
For the past few week i have been trying to fit a manuel trany a t5 in my ta.Well the pilot hole was there for the bearing and am greatful for that but it seem like they are two or more bolt patern for the flywheel and the one then a got just dont fit. The tranny was bolted to a motor that have external balance (i know that because its harmonic balencer is way bigger then mine up front ).I have to find a flywheel that fit my crank i dont know if its a one piece main seal or two info on that would be great.
there are 2 flywheel bolt patterns for a SBC. if you have a 87 or newer you should have one piece crank seal. you can tell by the seal houseing bolted to the back of the block and the one piece seal inside of it. it'll have a round shinny attachment area for the flywheel. if it's 2 piece seal you'll see nothing, and no seal. the flywheel attachment spot will be a counter weight looking thing.
thanks ede guess now the only think left to do is buy a flywheel for a one piece main seal engine ,but up here in canada it will cost me a mere 600-700cnd.Any info on how to get one cheaper.
