My neighbour "acquired" a 3rd gen, '86, 2.8, at, etc. Keep in mind he has no money but lots of time and talent. He has a '74 Nova with a strong running 350. The Nova is a 4 door, primered black, cool, eh! Holy snot, Batman, this guy's a Canuck! He has no money to buy a v8 wreck and swap those parts. This is an on-the-cheap swap. No insurance or emissions to worry about.
What won't work? Will the 700R4 from the Camaro bolt to the 350? I don't believe it will. There is a good turbo 400 in the Nova. Driveshaft issues are no problem. K member? Speedo?
He will be ditching the computer as the 350 is carbed. No ABS or air bags.
We have easy access to cheap used parts. I get the 2.8 out of the Camaro to put in my T-15 'cause I threw a rod through both sides of the block, on the highway! Ya gotta do that at least once, huge fun!
Remeber, no money. Both cars are free.

You have to change everything from the radiator back,including the radiator.Your v8 wont bolt up to the v6 700r4 trans .You can use the trans from the nova turbo 350 or 400 swap it in with the 350 v8. Change over trans mounts kits available from Jegs or Summit.Custom drive shaft from your favorite machine shop .Thats the basics.Not including all the other little stuff you need
