Though I'd show a pic of the new motor, before it goes in,
hope you like it

Have you done anything to the engine before dropping it in? Cam, rockers, etc... ? I had a 1996 Vortec 350 motor in my '69 before I built my new 383 and it ran great. With the cam I had, headers, roller rockers and GM intake with a 750 carb, I would guess I made at least 350 Hp.

Yes, I have change the valve springs & retainers and installed screw-in style rocker arm studs.
The cam is a 350 HO roller w/235 dur.,480 lift.
It has the Edelbrock Vortec Performer intake and Jet-Hot coated Heddman Headers w/a Dynomax cat-back and test pipe.
The carb will be an early model Q-jet, and have a non-comp. dist.
350 HP ?!!!:hail: Sounds good to me
