89 Conv van 350. Would it fit?
One of my bosses at work has an 89 Chevy Conversion Van w/ a Brand new 350 and 700-R4 tranny he wants $1000 for the whole thing van and all. He has been working on cars for probably 30 years. He said he believes it would fit just to double check. I was told by someone else w/ less experience that van engines would need redrilled to fit my Camaro. Let me know the engine and tranny only have like 2000 miles and this is a deal I don't want to pass up. And also he thinks it a LS something not sure of witch one, he is gonna pull up the info on it and bring it in to show me.

I had a 90 van motor in my camaro. AS long as you alredy have a v8 in there it sould go right in. the only ting i can think of is the oil pan may be difrent. Its a small block chevy so all the mounts are the same. As far as the tranny its the same thing as in a camaro.

The block I used to build my motor from was out of my bosses 87 Chevy Vandura
As long as your swapping from SBC to SBC it'll work, unless its an LS1/LT1

OK there was originally a V6 but I its gone there is nothing in it now... I know I need Strut tower brace and brace that bolts to the underside of the frame kinda like a lower strut tower brace. New struts, radiator, drive shaft. It has a 4barrell Holly on it so if possible I am gonna do it the old fashion way w/ no Computer and harness mess. I also had another offer about an engine I barely know much about its 307 outta 86 olds Cutlass the guy wants 200 buck for the whole thing the frame on its shot so that's why he is getting rid of it.

You really really need to read into what is involved in a 6 to 8 swap before you attempt to do it. You need a bunch of parts you didn't list and none of the parts you did...

Oh I know there's lots more detail and I have read about it many many times and I would need a new radiator because my v6 wouldn't keep a v8 cool enough, I would definitely need the frame braces or I would twist the frame in my car. The car itself has over 120k miles on it so its not in the greatest of shape. And drive shaft depends on type of tranny the one in the 307 is only a 3speed auto w/o/ OD and the OD driveshafts where smaller(shorter) this is stuff I have read. I would consider myself an Intermediate in gearhead status. I ask a lot of questions and research till I am 100% sure of something. I did a 2.8-3.4 swap on this car but ran into some mechanical problems w/ the 3.4 after warranty was up. I don't want to waist my time rebuilding the 3.4 when its too slow. I don't plan on racing the car. Just want some "get up" and something to show off sometimes. And blow the hell outta the "supped up" 4 bangers cars that think its the fast and the furious. When they only have something that sounds like an extended fart. I do take in all of your advice and info and research it because most of you have way more experience than I.

I delieve that the 307 he is talking about is an olds engine making it not the same as a chevy. But that is a moot point since the preformance of a 307 is severy lacking - go with the van motor. And a radiator is a good idea but not realle necessary - I believe that 6 and 8 car got the same radiator for a while. And if you need SFCs with a 350 why did GM leave not put them on the L98 cars? They are a good Idea to have expecally with a hot motor (which isn't gonna come out of a van - or any factory car for that matter) but hardly a necessary part of the conversion.
You don't need any special brace because the frames of the V6 and V8 are the same. It would just help to stiffen up the car. You definitely need V8 springs in the front. Any other stuff you should do a search.
