How about an ignition fuse? I had one blow out on the highway in my 96 WS6. I would just crank and nothing. Popped in a fuse and ran like it always did

Just a thought.

The problem you are having is EXACTLY what mine did when the VATS wasn't working. The only way I could keep it running was starting fluid. Make sure any and everything involving the VATs is working right, and make sure the module is installed right. I dont know what that involves, so can't help you there. VATS is the only explanation for what you are going through.

Also, as far as the opti. If its running with carb cleaner, the opti isnt the problem because its getting spark.

*sorry, didnt read your other post first. If you were getting spark, then this would be your problem. Since you're not, check the coil first. If not that, then check the opti.

Go ahead and get your PCM programmed because you will really need to anyway for the things that arent going to be hooked up. While they are at it have them disable VATS. Then you will be SURE its not the problem you are having.

or contact Bryan at pcmforless.com. He did my PCM and I was pretty impressed with it. I opted to buy the cables and load the program myself, but if you have the time, you can send your PCM to him, he'll load it, and send it back. Prices are really good too, might want to check into it.

If you are getting spark then it definitely sounds like a VATS problem to me.

It still makes sense to replace your opti. Especially now that it has been washed in ZEP cleaning fluid.

If your engine runs when you are spraying it then you should check to see if your injectors are firing. I am also inclined to believe that you are having VATS related issues as well.

Sounds like you may need to get an OHM meter and start measuring amperage and voltage readings. Two years ago I had an issue with a bad fuel pump relay. Though the realy was functioning, it was not allowing enough amperage to power the fuel pump. I could not have solved this problem without the OHM meter.

Also, you need to make sure all your grounds and connectors are good. I have seen a lot of strange things happen traceable to bad grounds.

Sinner, how about C100 connector (underhood fusebox) injectors fuses, maybe you have a short or damage cable in there.

this is not related to the ECM because you would not be able to run with carb cleaner.

How about clogged fuel rails ? maybe your lt1 comes from a theif recovery or some shiat like that and there has been sugar in the fuel lines and it could have jammed the injectors ???

did you bypass the starter enable relay ?

if so, have you tried to run it in it's normal configuration ?

Thought you would like this. I filled my tank and went to the body shop after writing your response. Turned the car off. Guy said he will call me with the numbers. Go to star the car and it imeadiately dies. Sounds like it's run out of gas. Thought it was vapor lock so I let it sit. Sure enough no start after an hour. Pulled out the IAT and sprayed carb cleaner and it runs until the spray runs out.

Fuel pump realy clicking, but fuel pump not priming. Fuel pump shot. Walbro on its way. Now I have to ruin/redo months of work and a new exhaust to get this dame thing in. The pump is probably cool right now and I bet it will start right up.
