do these pistons look stock for a l98? they had a small dome on the top of them.

Stock pistons were flat-tops. Those are definitely not stock.

i kind of figured it. it has mainly rods, and was converted to a hydralic flat tappit. i ws jsut making sure they were not stock. the car pinged on 93 octane. now i know why, and it had ported l98 heads, which are for sale BTW. p.m. for details.

That thing was probably running 10.5:1 compression or more...

Edit: Ran a quick compression check and it would be at least 10.74 w/+4cc dome and stock deck height/head gasket size.

probably. heres a pic of my car though. it would stop pining if i put some 110 in it and backed the timing off.
