trying to keep the price down for the rest of the motor but want to make sure the bottom end is good and strong parts. thank for any info. Tim

not sure of you application,.. but all you reallly need for a strong block, is good bearings, good bolts,..proper ring gap, forged pistons (put you $ here),..and a good assembly,...if on a budget, i feel rods and crank are not as important,..the block i had was bulletproof before i put on a supercharger, and it was cast crank, stage one ok rods, ARP bolts, forged psitons. it was bullet proof untill i put on the blower broke the #5 piston. detonation signs everywhere. maek sure it doesn't lean out in any cylinders, and that's it! just my O2
