its 700r4

It 700r4 raptor tranny. 91 firebird was v6 now with 94 LT1 motor. Blending in 94 LT1 motor harness with 91 v6 harness. Trying decide wether not hook up temp switch wires on the old harness to the new motor harness with the PCM.

What kind of mods you have done to that LT1? I might be putting an LT1 in front of my rebuilt 700R4.

The reason I was asking what tranny & harness you're talking about is the TH700 doesn't have an externally wired temp switch.

It does have a torque converter lock-up circuit and a 4th gear engaged indicating circuit.

But, I don't know what the LT1 ECM needs, or can do with the TH700 tranny. Someone else will have to handle that one.

He'll have to use a brake switch kit made for 700R4 conversion to a car without computer control to lock the TC. I don't think the 94' computer can be hooked up to the trans as you stated, it is intended to work with a 4L60E. Bowtie overdrives sells the brake switch kit to lock the converter along with a trans temp gauge setup which includes a pan with a drain plug that the sensor installs into. I've had a 700R4 in my 67" camaro for 5 years now using this stuff. 3 years ago I installed TPI but didn't change this method.
