Lt1 engine question

I am thinking about buying an Lt1 for a build up soon ,and I want to make it carberated, I noticed that there are alot of different things on these engines though
1. since the iginition system is different can I just throw a vaccum advanced dist. in there or would i have to modify something.
2.would I have to buy the Lt1 manifold for carbs, or can I just throw any intake that fits centerbolt heads on there.
3. Will my water pump, and serpintine brackets from a 305 tbi motor fit on there or no.
I appreciate any help I can get on this , Thanks.

If you have a 350 in your car now, why do you want an LT1 block? You mentioned using a distributor. LT1s don't use one.

I only want it because the one I found is built. They use opti spark right? Yeah I was just wondering, so its pretty much not possible to run a carb on one huh? Thanks

You could use the longblock, provided you use the correct gmpp intake for the LT1 with a carb, they have two models one LT1 one LT4, pick which based on what heads are on the motor, you'd just drop a vacuum dist in there by changing the gear for one with a billet cam, other than that you'd need the LT1 accessories.
