ZZ4 bare block maximun power

Does anybody know how much power can a ZZ4 P/N 10105123 bare short block take? I plan on using studs on the mains and heads along with a main cap girder. The block is going to be new with a standard bore and maybe a stroker crank. I'm lookin for 700hp at the crank with a pair of T4 turbochargers. I already have a one piece seal Hamburger oil pan and forge crank, H bean 6" rods, late moder roller cam and lifters ground for a turbo set up. I also have a set of Trick flow heads, roller rockers, Accel base plate, SLP runners, 1000 CFM T/B, 50lbs injectors, power pulley set, Fluid damper, an old Accel DFI, Holley 255 fuel pump with a boost a pump. I'm going to buy a set of 8.5 to 1 JE pistons. I can not do anything until I decide on what block I'm going to use. I know that a motown block will be better but I have too many 1986 and later parts that I will not be able to use if I get a motown block not to include the $1995.00 for the block. I have a 1980 400ci two bolt main truck block in my garage but I was told that at .030 over the cylinder will be too thin for a lot of power. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Tony O.

Twin turbos and hypereutectic pistons is not a good mix.

The 400 with splayed 4-bolt main caps and Hard Blok, with proper rotating parts of course, should handle the power.

2 bolt mains arn't really good for NOS or turbo set ups are they? Though I wouldn't think the ./030 over on the 400 block would make it weak...

cheers

The GM Performance Parts catalog has a list of blocks and the amount of horsepower they can handle. I'm at work right now or I'd check for you.

They are on a 400. The 400 has larger main journals and with 4 bolt holes in the block there isn't enough metal left. Splayed caps are a diffrent story.

Some 400s are fairly thin walled castings. Some castings can go for .120 over.... some have walls so thin that they flex as the hone goes through at .030 over. Shrug the only way to tell is to have the block sonic cheaked.
