OK, I've heard that a firebird with a 3.1L is very easily changed to a 3.4L with little or no fuss at all. You don't even have to change the fuel injection or computer...... Thats nice and all, but the 3.1 puts out 140hp and the 3.4 put out 160 hp, so that isn't enough change for the money and time needed. I've done some looking and found out that they have a 24valve DOHC 3.4L that makes 210 HP stock, and great for mods and stuff. Only problem is that the DOHC 3.4 is a FWD engine only, is there any hope for a swap that would help us guys not wanting to change wiring harnesses and still be emissions legal???????? I dont want to put in the V8 because they just weigh too much. I like the driving and handeling of the V6's much more.... Besides, doesn't anyone think the firebirds are a little on the heavy side anyways. Why add more weight.

Oh yeh, as far as automatic trannies and standard go, mine is AT and i would love for it to be manual, how hard is this mod????
