Whats the deal w/the ZZ4 water pump pulley
I have a 92 (originally 305 TBI) Camaro, got the ZZ4 installed and my old water pump pully (serpentine system) doesn't fit. The holes are a little bit off. Does anybody know what the deal is??? I plan on just elongating the holes in the original serpentine pulley to fit those of the new ZZ4 water pump.
Who else had this problem with their ZZ4? What did you do?

Ok I am a dumbass for not seeing that. The serpentine belt goes UNDER the pully whereas the old v belts go OVER it.
Is there a way to route the serpentine belt over the top so I dont have to swap pumps? Maybe just swap belts. I just dont want to void the Crate engine warranty by swapping pumps.

swapping pumps shouldnt void your warranty. they are a external accessory.
its only 4 bolts and 2 gaskets.. like a 5 min job.

Why would you need to swap to a reverse rotation water pump???? I'm kinda confused on that, I thought the LT-1's used the reverse rotation, not the TPI's or TBI's.

you are thinking of reverse flow, not reverse rotation like we are.

with a V belt setup the water pump pully and the crank pully turn the same way
with a surp belt setup, they turn diff directions.
the water flow is the same direction with both of them. but the way the pump turns is diffrent.
