83 LG4 to 88 350 TPI

ok I started the swap and I already ran into a few problems, when we got to the flywheel they didn't match up, and my uncle suggested I get a new clutch right away. I am just curious as to any other proplems I may run into because I searched and looked in the stickies getting no answers. I also heard the fuel lines are different, but i am unsure. If anyone can help me with any other problems i might run into it would be appreciated. I have an 83 TA with a T5, the engine is from a 88 firebird formula 350. I have the wiring harness and ecm intact. I was informed that i need a flywheel from a 305 tpi engine, plan on ordering it today. Thanks for all the help guys, Im lost without you.:hail:

you need a flywheel for '87+ small blocks with a one piece rear main seal, NAPA might have it they carry it, but it might be on back order. its only 50 bucks from NAPA, or your local chevy dealership parts couter should have it, but it will run you about 290 bucks from them.

as for the fuel lines.... no clue?

Flexplate, perhaps $50.

But, you need a flywheel, more like $200+ new.

If you have the donor car, best bet is to change over things like fuel lines, wiring harness, ECM, etc. I assume you know TPI uses an in-tank electric fuel pump.

i got my flywheel from a salvage yard for $25 then had it resurfaced for $8 at autozone...

try that route...
