Help with cam selection for 383?

Axle/Gears: 3.70
Help with cam selection for 383?
I was hoping to get some advice on a cam for my soon to come 383. I was thinking of the LT4 Hot cam but have heard from you guys that it is fairly tame in a 350??. So far my plan is Scat cast steel crank, 6.0 rods, AFR 190 heads, Comp Cams 1.6 Pro Magnum Roller rockers, Holley Stealth Ram and shooting for 10.2:1 compression. I have the stock trans and stock 3.23 gears. 52 MM throttle body along with parts listed below. This is a project/ hobby and not driven daily, and I dont have to deal with emissions. I'd like to see low to mid 12's at the track (when I do go) with a broad torque curve. Did I miss anything? Those of you running 383's whts your opinion on the cams you have chosen? You want something with no less than 23X @.050 duration and ground on a 112 LSA.

I would suggest the Comp Cams Magnum 280. Anymore duration than 230 and you will not have sufficent vacuum for your brakes.
My Father currently has a 383 in his 66 ChevyII with the 292 Comp Cam and it is too much for the engine. This engine has World Products heads and 1.5 rr's a weiand stealth and 10.4:1 compression. It is a pain in the butt to drive it on the street because the low vacuum it produces you have to rev to 2,000rpms just to pull out and slip the clutch.
If you have good valve springs on the AFR's you should be able to get away with using the 1.6 rr's they will yeild .512 lift instead of .480. Hope that helps.
