Engine swap, what needs done to computer

I'm swapping engines in my 89 IROC from a 350 TPI to a built 350 short block, with good heads, and cam, and I am keeping the TPI on it. Does anything need to be done to the computer with this upgrade. What will I need to do. If I need to send the computer somewhere, where to. Can i buy something that I cna do it with myself. thanks

you can order a chip from slp or jet performance and it will be the prom an you can do it yourself. you might want to get a fuel pressure regulator and maybe a different maf sensor too

The programming is a replaceable in your ecm (computer) so there is no need to sent it anywhere. Two screws remove a conver that allows access to the memcal. It's the blue devise under the access panel. Searching around in the Prom Board will reveal lots of info about programming, and how you can do your own. The only way to really optimise the computer is doing your own tuning.
