At least 3 times your number. A engine swap is like a bottomless money pit. Don't belive these low ball numbers by the driveway DIY people. Most are just putting in something that will barely run in most cases. Just remenber that horsepower cost money.
I know, went that route 3yrs ago.

$2000 is a small budget for over 300rwhp. it can be done, but only with good deals. I would start looking around for decent deals and buy a 350 shortblock, buy some vortech heads, and intake, and a decent carb, that should be right around 2 grand if your lucky. If setup right you could hit your 325hp mark.

but IMO if you want to go fast, save for a little longer, and it will become easier to reach over 300hp.

goodluck with it

$2000 to make 325 RWHP, you may have the motor. But what about the other items?? Misc engine parts (never ends), Headers, intake, torque convertor, new exhaust, tranny & rear end work.

Now you never did say what car this project was going into?? Or
what condition it is??

A lot of questions???
