U just better sit back der and listen now kid. Youhave lots o stuff to look at like the flux capacitor and that exhuast muffler bearing i have been hearing about. once cha feel like gettin dere tat figured outtie, u got to look at da more important stuff like dat umm, rear end, air filtration, and dat um , wutcha call it, yeah, that. Now now, u got sta take ur jolly ole time now figurin' this stuff out and lay every ding out so u dont screw up nethin. Dat dere tranny and engine is a great package to receive( that is what i tell the gurls about my package to). Dat way, u dont have ta switch anythang up. Of course, u will need dem one thingers dat that block will sit dere on. I dink them tings are called dem moto mounts. I uhh, reckon u will need dem new rubber things to, uhh, hoses i think they call dem. Big help to keep that there engine cool. yeah, dat there uh computer thinger will help get there engine running, as that one gta motor isnt bad at all there. Just uh, make sure you replace all them sparkies and them sparkies wires for a good runnin car. Now you may as well be gettin them header thingers i have bveen hearin bout instead of that bearing in da exhuast. More hp, better soundin and the gas milage is always a plus in our ******* town there. Hope dat dare helps u out

well anyways, you need to replace radiator, motor mounts, engine, tranny, exhaust, wiring, and computer. basically its pretty easy todo if you take your time. everything will/should bolt right in since a 3rd gen is made for a V8 also.
do a search and you will get the rest of the details

If your present car is in mint condition or means something to you your best bet woulb be to get a complete doner car that came with a V8, like a 305 or a 350TPI 3rd gen fbody. Just about all of the V6 stuff is worthless since it wont bolt up to a V8 or accomodate it. If the car has some miles on it and its getting tired apearence wise, you would be better off selling it and getting something else.

Youll need another trans as well. The 60* V6 trans has fewer frictions then one for a V8 and the case is different so it wont bolt up. Make sure you get everything you can from the doner car, such as exaust sytem, motor mounts, etc, so you wont have to nickle and dime yourself to death buying odds and ends to complete the install.

dimented has very good advice, grab everything you can, even if you think you dont need it, in the end you might need it for some odd reason.
good luck, you will not be dissapointed

couple of other questions that came my way while driving today...my car uses a speedo cable where as a tranny from an 88 say uses an electronic speedo...would the tranny have an input for my speedometer cable anywayz...also...with my instrument cluster panel...would all my current gauges work althought they are in different locations from gauges in later models

Tranny-u will have to get a different sensor, shouldnt be to hard. All the gauges should hook up perfectly. Much easier if you label the wires as you take them off. and odnt get used motor mounts. what, 20$ and u can get brand new ones from napa.
