LT4 hot cam

I am building an engine for my 1989 Trans Am. I was wondering if i could use the LT4 hot cam, without having to change over to the LT1, i am going to go with the Stealth Ram instead, thanks for any info.

Your cam choice and your intake choice are two seperate things. They should match eachother in the sense of the type of powerband you want, but you are not required to use a a specific intake with the LT4 hot cam. You should be more concerned with your valvetrain being able to handle that much lift at higher RPM's. The LT1 intake and LT4 hot cam would compliment eachother as far as the powerband goes, but the Stealthram would also work out really well. If you prefer the Stealthram over the modified LT1 intake then go for it! Have fun!

Actually, the LT4 intake isn't modified at all, its an LT1 intake, only modified to fit the Lt4 heads. Just FYI, that is, if you were referring to the LT4 intake.
