run the numbers at www.mortec.com
hey thanks,
im on my second starter (third including the one that was on the car when i got it). i looked at those numebers and i came up with its from a chevy 350 87-95. the number was 14093638. does this sound right to you? when i got my new starter, i brought in the old one and matched it up, and i guess that was off of an 84 camaro 350. so the starter has play when i put it in. do you think there is supposed to be play. ok, its like the holes in the starter for the bolts are alittle to big, like one bolt size, but then the threads are right into the block, so im pretty sure the bolts are right. is there supposed to be play on the them before they are tight. if you loosen it alittle, it moves enough so that it engages, or simply doesnt, it will just spin..... any thoughts apprecaited... anyone?
