I'm doin a 350 swap in my rs and ordered a pertronix flame thrower HEI distributor and a MSD 6AL ignition system. Is there anything I need to modify to get these two to work together, do I need to just get another distributor, or do they work together fine?

 

why didn't you get a msd distributor? then it would of been more or less plug and play. no idea how the two parts you picked wil lwork together. the msd stuff will have a lot of instructions for all the differant applications.

 

You can hook an MSD box up to just about any distributor but, as ede says, you coulda bought the cheapo MSD Probillet thats "requires an MSD 6 or compatible box" ...Probably woulda been cheaper and woul definately be easier to install.

 

I figured it out. I called MSD and the guy told me all I needed was a 8 dollar wiring harness that directly connects between the hei module and the 6al ignition box.
