couple of Q's
I was thinking of eventually maybe putting a cam. in my carbed 305. I already have headers, intake, and 600 cfm carb. What is a nice cam for a daily driver. I have the crap heads with 1.74 in. valves but I'm not looking for a monster, just i nice boost in power. What kind of power would I make.I have a th350 trans and a 3.23 rear. Was thinking the summit cam with 420. in. Anyone with similar set-ups, wondering about top speeds, redline, and gas milage.

A summit cam will work. Should probably see some good gains without having to mess with your heads. If you are going to upgrade your heads anytime soon I'd start looking into some of Comp Cams Xtreme Energy or Crane. They make cams that have proven themselves. Not to mention, 150$ for the cam and lifters.
As far as summit goes though, expect some gains but dont worry about fuel mileage or redline or any of the above mentioned. You may have a little bit more power up top, and maybe a little bit more top end which you will be able to tell, but not a huge change.
