ok, i can get a 1968 327 out of a Camaro for really cheep, the engine is all there minus carb and accesories. i've done my research and it's supposed to be either 300 or 350 hp stock.
now, do you think i should get this and build it up with new goodies to probably reach 500Hp or should i try to milk my 355 for everyting it's got?
Money shouldn't be a problem as soon as uncle sam sends me a check so, any thoughts?

Yeah, if that 327 has a large journal steel crank, you got something a collector would really want.

i would go with the 327 it will make your car a lot quicker if your looking for a 1/4 mile car but if you want the serious hp i would stick with the 355
