the plate doesnt come with the intake..you have to order it by itself...
http://www.sdpc2000.com/cart.asp?act...d=887&pid=1822
it doesnt show a pic, but the hole slips into the timing cover and it attached with 3 or 4 cover bolts, meaning the timing cover doesnt have to come off...
youll also HAVE to use a 6 3/4'' neutral balanced (SBC) balancer because the LT1 7 1/2'' balancer wont fit under the plate...And since the SBC and LT1 balancer assemblies/serpintine setup has different offsets, you may not be able to run the LT1 brackets or accesseries...on my carbed LT1 i modifed my stock brackets to work so i wouldnt have to do anything as far as the power steering, ALT, AC or anything...

Why not save yourself the trouble and just leave an old dead opti in its place, no accessory problems, all is well.

You could remove the timing cover and use a large freeze plug to plug the hole. Thats been my cheapest most effective route

Holy cow, thank a bunch. I ran into a big problem when I found out that the 6 3/4 balancer didn't match the lt1 belt system. So...all you have to do is modify the serpentine system a little...was this hard? DId you need any special tools?

What about using an underdrive pulley for an LT1. This should be significantly smaller. This way you might be able to use the LT1 accessories.
