emmisions?

i am going to be swapping a 350 into my camaro soon. i need to know. is it possible to get a carbed 350 to pass under 305 tbi standards? i don't have a visual inspection so it just has to pass the sniffer on the rollers.

If they don't open the hood, it's probably possible. How well it would run in the condition it would have to be in to pass sniffer - that's a different matter. And, sniffer requirements do vary from location to location.

It would probably be easier to get a TBI 350 to pass sniffer than it would to get a carb'd 350 to pass sniffer. If you're going to carb because of what the 350 you have planned would do to the TBI, you'll probably have difficulty getting the carb to sniff clean enough.

i heard that if you can run it lean you might be able to pass the sniffer test.
