just wondering if anyone knows about what it costs to get the engine and heads cooked out to be rebuilt? thanks

You mean like "tanked" in caustic soda?

Around here, block is typically $75 including removing/replacing freeze plugs & cam bearings.

Heads are about $30, although it's typically included in a valve job (~$150).
