Those would be a terrible piston choice. With those heads, and even with a typical factory block deck height, your compression ratio will be about 12.4:1. Very bad for street use.

This is the piston you should use. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...STL%2DH345NP30 or http://store.summitracing.com/partde...TRW%2DL2256F30 With either of these, your CR will be around 10.5:1.... must better for the street.

For legality questions, see http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/headsbchev.html

You do not ever want to put domed pistons in and engine. They cause all sorts of flame advance and travel problems. Its much better to get smaller cc heads and flattop pistons.

RB83L69the article said them pistons with 64cc heads will be 10.72 cr on a 9.025 deck im going with a floating pin either powder rods or eagle there about the same price. a crank that is good to 500 hp the heads that i will be using first will be vortec heads(193) then i will go to alluminum latter on i looked at edelbrocks web site already icant use the performer heads cause they only fit to 1986. i cant use the performer centerbolt cause they are 60cc, i dont know if the compresion would be with 60cc heads & flat top pistons.the etec heads i dont know if they are emisions legal . where i live they just past a law that youre pullution equip. must be on for a visual inspection
