vortec swap
Im currently building a vortec 350. I need to know if the pistons are the same in this engine as in other 350s. I was told there are different part numbers for the pistons in this engine, but i would think they are all the same. i am lookin at speed pro forged pistons in summit, part # trw-L2256F30. Can anyone tell me for sure if these would fit before i waste my money on them.

As long as your motor is .030 over and you are running a 5.7 connecting rod you should be fine.
Some things to take note of:
Vortec cylinder heads CC a lot less than their rated 64cc, mine came in at something like 61.7
That should put you right at 10:1 compression, so you arent going to be getting away with 87 octane with cast iron heads.
