Would I be better off buying a used motor and haveing it rebuilt or should I buy a new GM short block?? Also has anyone bought a used 350 TPI speed density setup from any of the sponsers on this board?? If so were you happy with your purchase?

 

It really depends on the condition of the motor. There may be a reason why it was in a yard. It is always good insurace to dissassemble it, rebuild it and have the regular checks done to it. You will come out with a new engine practically. You don't want to take any shortcuts on an engine you nothing about.
