Engine: 305 for now
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: peg
engine swap checklist
I'm getting ready to do the swap and makin' my list and checkin' it twice...
the L03 is comin' out, and this is goin' in:
# 406 SBC
# KB hypereutectic .030 9.6:1 CR
# Crane Powermax 2040 210/216 .440/.454 114*LSA
# 882 heads 2.02/1.6
# Edelbrock Performer RPM

anything i'm forgetting or should add?
* iron distributor gear for hyd cam
* 350 ESC and knock sensor
* dipstick and tube
* TBI intake adapter
* fresh fluids and filters
* thermostat and housing
* heater hoses and valve to eliminate that vacuum thingy
* cleaning and painting supplies
* poly engine mounts
* 93 s10 torque converter
that's just what i've got off the top of my head - swap's still a few weeks away.
will an unhooked egr do anything to drivability other than a CES light? i'm planning on getting an 8746 and a prominator after the engine's broken in a bit - i'm pretty confident my stock setup will handle this engine enough to break in the engine initially so no sense throwing in any variables i don't have to. the only hitch is no egr on the intake, which i'll be able to fix on the new ecm but i'm sure will throw codes at me til i get switched over.
this is the first time i'll be attempting a complete swap, so any help would be appreciated.

You will need a fuel pressure regulator also. I would do a serch on TBI to carb and see what others have done.
