zz4 and Trickflow questions
Im getting a zz4 shortblock and trickflow heads , and my question is do i get the 87-later style heads (centerbolt valve cover) or the 86-earlier style heads (perimeter), and what about the base, same question (ive decided to get the edelbrock and have the shiznit ported of it)?
I am also swapping in a TPI from what is now a TBI. I already bought the runners and the plenum for 89-up tpi (no cold start injector). Will these bolt onto an earler stle tpi base?
It would be my preference to get the 86-earlier style heads and tpi base because everything is cheaper (ie rockers, valve covers etc) for perimeter valve covers.

Whatever turns your crank. I prefer the sealing efficiency of the center bolts, picked up a set from Checker for $35. Rockers - what exactly are you considering buying?
I don't know what TF does with regard to intake bolt angle vs. valve cover type. World lets you choose the cover type with either type intake bolt angle (on most, anyway). But, you want the intake bolt angle to be the same on the heads & base, which is a more important consideration than cover type.
Not sure about the TPI question. Better asked on the TPI forum, I would think.
