Depends on what the 350 is.
Basically, it's a matter of unbolting the 305, taking it out of the car, doing what this tech article says https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/tech/carbswap.shtml , and putting the 350 in.
The detail devils include one- or two-piece rear main seal, and exactly what heads are on the 350.
Are you doing anything about the exhaust? The factory system chokes the lame factory 305.
Any particular reason you're going carb?

he says it's a 4 bolt main.
i think it's a one piece seal but i'll check
not sure about the heads either.
thinking about getting headers, but not sure. that will be the only thing besides a muffler i'll put on. what do you suggest?
i'm going with the carb b/c it was just too hard to find a fuel injected for a reasonable price. my brother is giving me his for $750. it suppose to be a 300+ hp engine. i don't know but he has some money in it.

your going to love it. i did the 350 carb swap into my car. so simple its rediculous. you can take everything out also. if you have auto and want to ditch the computer be sure to get the painless kit so your converter will still lock up. wait till you drive it, lol your gonna notice it pulling out of the driveway
and on the headers, make sure you bolt them in after the motor goes in. i had to tilt my engine left to put the right one on, and left for the right one to squeeze them past the frame and brake lines. real tight fit. just dont bolt the motor down till after you put them on. i went with headman 14 guage alloy ones. i havent seen anyone else on the board using them so i figured id try em out.

everything will work the same. all you have to do is plug it all up onto the new motor. chasing wires man, thats all it is
