I need help with cam selection

ok i have a 305 89 model it was a tbi ,I have already switched over to carb/hei setup , and the heads were shaved .020 to bump the compression up ,ive also went ahead and put headers and true duals on it with 2 1/2 inch pipes and flowmasters i have a edelbrock 650 carb and streetmaster edelbrock intake , Im just wanting to wake this engine up a little by putting in a new cam but im trying to figure out which one would be the best choice I no longer have computer hooked up and emissions is of no concern since i live in mississippi i would just like some help on which cam would give it some lope at idle and get the job done as far as power goes. any help would be greatly appreciated,
thomas

p.s. I have 3:42 gears installed now also and still have 700r4 stock stall.

Before any other improvements will be effective, you need to get rid of those heads. Swirlports can't be helped (you really wasted your money shaving them), look for a set of TPI heads or go aftermarket like World S/R 305's.

Then consider something like a mild Comp XE cam.

Thomas-
With the stock converter you are running I would go no bigger than 210-215 degrees of duration @ .050" and .420-.450 on the lift. Go to a 22-2400 stall converter and swap to 3.73 gears and you can get a bit more agressive with the grind.
