Ok first off, its a 91 camaro (v6 w/ t5) and im throwing in a 95 LT1 from a trans am using F-body accessories.
I took three pictures of the pounded back crossmember, disregard the rust, its because I took a pressure washer (1800 psi) to the engine bay and it stripped the paint off my xmember
, im gonna just put some high temp crap on after I scrub it all off, its just surface crap. Anyways, is this enough clearance for the AC to sit right?
I got the clamshell done, had to have a machine shop do it, I was outside for about 2 hours with a bench and hand grinder and only took off about 1mm of metal and said screw this and paid the local machine shop 15 bucks and they did a great job, made an egr block off plate for me too, anyways, here:

Last picture....I did this using a welder I got and just pounded the **** out of the xmember. If I need more, please be specific about the area, thanks.
