head porting
Hey, has anyone done a porting job on a set of 193 heads before? I'm looking at doing that on my set, and remove the swirl spur on the intake bowl. do you think that this will help with the flow on these heads?

You will spend more in die-grinder bits than you can get a whole set of heads without the ramps for.
And, I would assume your time is worth something to you.... I know mine sure is.... I wouldn't waste that much time to save that little money.
Get a set of 081 heads and be done with at least that much of the work.

well. time wise. it takes about 10 minutes to completely remove the swirl tab, I'm using a carbide bit and it's still sharp as nails.

that's a lot of good information, but it doesn't say what would happen, good or bad, if I removed the swirl tab. I just did that to the set of 193 heads that I have.
