for a gm block i wouldn't pay much over 50 dollars for a two piece and maybe 100 or so for a one piece roller. i'd rather be looking for a complete builder engine for 100-200 dollars.

I got a 3970010 block and every time I list it for 50 I never get any responses. Everyone is so brainwashed into thinking they need a roller they don't even pay attention to it. People often forget that massive amounts of HP & TQ can be made without a roller. Most true muscle cars of the 60's and early 70's had solid lifters.

Just some Iron for thought!

That kind of all depends on what part of the country you are in. Where I live a buildable 4-bolt with heads and all runs around 150. YOu couldnt buy a "new" untouched block for 50. If i understand right you are talking about a new block, not a used block that has never been touched (i.e. still a "standard" bore). This would cost considerably more. For just a used standard bore block itself though 50 bucks sounds good to me.

I would love to find a buildable 350 in my area for $150.00. They are around $150 for a bare block, & $400-500 for a rebuildable long block here, but atleast the 305s are at almost give-away prices or free.
