swapping my motor
hey guys i'm in the process of my motor swap
305tbi to 350tbi..
question is i'm using 305 tuned port heads with the 350 and the push rods are longer on the 350 engine.. do i use the longer 350 push rods or do i use the 305 push rods?

the 350 was non and the 305 was roller..
and now i've relized that the solid lifters are shorter and needs longer pushrods then the short roller lifters

Just to be clear, the 350 didn't have "solid" lifters. It had flat-tappet hydraulic lifters (the factory hasn't used solid lifters since the early 70's - as far as I know, they never used roller solid lifters in production engines). '87-up (passenger car) used roller hydraulic lifters.
Anyway, you use the pushrods that are the correct length for the type of lifters you're using. Factory flat tappet push rods are longer than those used with factory roller lifters.
