any advice on cam size?
383 sbc eagle rotating assembly going in my
85' z28 i picked up a few months back,
new to the boards.. doing the car completely over
again with everyting from the tranny being redone
to loosing the open 3.08 rear.. wil have heads
capable of supporting .600 lift, bottom end
is forged and will have a healthy shot of n2o on
it as well.. looking to run a cam in like the
240's duration wise.. didn't kno if anyone had
any experience with any certain head/cam combo
on a 383... hp goal is 500 on motor
thanks

500HP on motor, your going to need some really good heads and pretty large cam. Id suggest AFR heads and a comp solid roller XR cam.

exactly
redrocketls1 just becuase the heads can support lift up to .600", they still have to be able to flow enough for that lift. what kind of heads are they?

im talkin 450rwhp hopefully.. bottom end should
be good for a 200 shot easily..
