the steel line from gas tank to evap canister.. what can I do with it / is it needed?

so it is not needed? I thought it might be needed as a vent.

 

I have a 4BBL car and was curious if I could use it for the fuel return line on my LT1 swap?

 

i doubt it.. return line should be 5/16 this is like 1/8 .. brake line I think.. plus its on the wrong side of car, plus how does it go into the tank?

 

goes into the top of the tank, like a fuel return line should, doesn't it?

 

not sure how it goes into tank but pretty sure it would be too small.

 

It goes to the top right above the fuel level. The return goes all the way to the bottom as does the actual fuel line. I just did some work in my tank a couple months ago. There should be another tube coming out in the back of the car with a one way valve on it that vents the tank some way also.
