Give it to me straight
I've come to the conclusion that no shop in the St. Louis area is competent enough to wire my LT1. So I've decided to do it myself.
I have no prior experience with wiring anything. not even a toatser. But, I'm not an idiot, and I have plenty of time.
The engine is going into a 92 RS wich had a 305.
So give it to me straight.
How hard will this be?

solder your splices and use heat shrink and black tape.. or the really good heat shrink with the glue in it.
don't use any of those solderless connectors. only lead to problems down the road.

Well I did get the Painless Wiring harness for my engine, but the dang thing doesn't have an altenator hook up. And I'm not sure about the gauge panel. However I did read the thread "LT1 Wiring for dummies".
If I have any questions along the way I'll be back.
Thanks a bunch
