newer V6 to older V8
newer V6 to older V8
OK guys here we go. I took my 1987 camaro with the mpfi 2.8 and switched to an old style carb'd 350. In the process I decided to go with vbelts. Since I cannot find the brackets needed to make my newer style ac delco alternator work (its the small one) I am going to have to go with the old style alternator. The real problem I'm having is figuring out how to wire this thing up. There is a different number of wires on the plug. I know this seems like an electronics thing, but it does relate to my engine swap too. If i can figure this out, all I'll have to do is figure out how to splice in my HEI distributor.

Go to the "Carburetor" board and look for a thread called something like "Carb'd engine pics"... there are two threads, look at both.
They both have excellent pixctures of how it should look when wired correctly.
