Engine Makes Weird Sound!!!

When I first start up my car in the morning it knocks and ticks quite loudly, I tightened my manifold and replaced my air intake pipes, but the sound still persists. Can anyone help?

i had the same problem and i tightened the head bolts and it fixed it. i dont know why the heads bein loose would cause knocking but as soon as i tightened up the bolts the knocking went away. that might be the case for you im not positive though.

If its a LT1, they tick and tap. Nothing wrong. If it's a LT1 built to a 383, the pistons slap till it warms up.
