352 Swap?

I was curious I searched for this already and came up with nothing. It looks like I might get in my hands a free big block 352 ford engine block from a 1965 Ford galaxie 500. As long as I can pull it out it's mine and I can even work on it in the guys garage on his farm. I'm a chevy man through and through but this is a free block. I'm know there is gonna be a lot of chopping, but wouldn't be cheaper than gettin a new chevy engine that I would have to pay for anyway? lemme know your thoughts, I don't want to hear about a chevy vs. ford thing. I just want to know if it can be done and if it would be feasible.

The fab work and labor will surpass any profit ...

By far cheaper to build up a 350 or 383 I find.

For that to work, I assume you'd have to use a ford trans

maybe driveshaft, and find a way to connect it to the rear end,

and fit the whole thing in the car.

I doubt its worth while ..

Sell it if it has any value.

He didn't just ask about putting a FE Y-block in his car did he?

If he did he should apoligize now and forget about it. It'd be cheaper and easier to put a 454 in.

If memory serves me correctly, the Ford 352 is not a big block. And, although this is only my opinion, that particular engine is better suited as a boat anchor.

And, what Spectre said, too....

Yes I've scrapped the Idea thanks guys, besides I found out the car was thrown to the trash yard when the guy flipped it 20 years ago, so I figured f*&k it.

yep 352 ford = boat anchor. even if you had a ford to swap it into it isn't worth the time or expense
