V6 to TPI people, throttle cable question?

V6 to TPI people, throttle cable question?
My 305 tpi is not sitting in my engine bay hooked up. I am having one issue though, the throttle cable coming out of the firewall that runs to the throttle body is too short?
I know i can just buy a new one, but its an issue i have not heard of before.
Is this common, or is something wrong with my cable? BTW, it was orginally a v6 car(of course)

If you had a v6 yes your gonna need a V8 TPI cable. Its one of the many things left out on guides. Thier cheap, I don't have the part # on me here at work but it was $17 shipped to me from gmpartsdirect.com
