Easiest Cheapest
Hey guys i was wondering a bout this. What would be cheaper going and buying a car with no engine and putting an LT1 in it, buyi8ng one with a warn out 305 or 350 and swapping in an LT1 or just going out and buy8ihng one finished, the thing is i would like to have a car that i could consider my own not one someone else has done so the first 2 are the ones im seriously considering. What do you guys think

if you want to do it yourself to call it your own then id just look around and find one thats in your $$$ range and go from there that way you can determin what you want more if you can find one with a worn engine and tranny that has a really good body then that would be the way i would go because most of the time you dont find em without an engine at all and the body still in good shape but it all depends on what you can find for the price really ..

easiest, and propbably cheapest, and cleanest,
just buy a 4th gen for about 4,500 in near perfect shape.
4 wheel discs, a great transmission, an LT1. Done.
I love my thirdgen as much as the next guy, but i can't see the reason for spending $4000+ to get the same performance as a $4000 dollar car without the hassle.
But to answer your question, there is no answer, find the cheapest cleanest body you like the most. Whether it has an engine/tranny or not doesn't matter beacause you are going to be tearing it out anywa
