305 Carb to a 350 Carb
I did a search already because I know this is a very common swap, but I just had some questions that I couldn't find the answers to. If I find ANY 350 chevy block can I use just about everything from my 305?I can use my intake, carb (I rebuilt the carb about 3,000miles ago and sealed all the plugs that can leak.), distributor, my prom computer from the 305, and the starter? I would be getting aftermarket heads or decent ones and headers. If anyone could give me some feedback it would be appreciated.

everything, but i'm not sure about the intake. depending on which year heads you have/buy you need an intake manifold to match. Here is a picture that should help. They made the switch(i believe) half way through '86.

Like the caption said, the switch was made in the '87 model year.
It would be a rare '86 that had the new type, or a rare '87 that had the old type (Vettes excepted).

You can use as much of the 305 accessories as you want, like I did, I even used my starter. Replaced other things with new, but were for the 305 application.
The flywheel/flexplate will have to match what ever block you use.
1-piece or 2-piece rear main seal
The intake will be the biggie, as stated above, but I would like to suggest that you drop the CC carb, CC dist., and the computer, all together, and go "old school". But that's up to you.
