Engines in!

engines set down and mounted up, thank *** i have an ss hood, my carb w/out a filter is already to high for the stock hood, i just hope i buy the right air filter and can fit it under my ss hood. anyhow i have a few questions maybe someone can help me with. First, is im reusing all the norm brackets, but i just took off the AIR pump itself, so which kind of belt am i going to need to use? its a serp setup, i just donno how long of a belt i need for apps w/out the AIR pump. 2nd is, how should i route fuel lines from the driver side to the pass side mech fuel pump? i have some ideas, but a "right" way would be better hehe.. and im not sure how were gonna do the carb cable setup.. anyplace i can get a replacement for the EFI cable for a carb cable like autozone or w/e? other than that everythings good to go i believe, we still have to remove the TPI wiring, so if anyone has a TPI wiring diagram that would help alot, although i havent searched for one so dont give me the big slap everything should be rdy this weekend i hope, cant wait to get the sucker on the road and slip n slide around the streets. If anyone can shine some light on any of this it would help me a lot, my only car has been down for 6months now and i move in a week so i really need to get her on the road. Thanks alot guys!

sup...
I recently went from a 305 tbi to a carb. to answer your first question about the belt, get a Dayco 5060968 its about an inch shorter and you will have to reroute it. as for the fuel line i had to use a regulator and then i used some braided line from the regulator to the carb. for the bracket i dont know if the tbi bracket and the tpi bracket are the same but if they are, just turn the bracket backwards, drill a new hole in the bottum, cut the side of the bracket off so it will clear the valve covers. i hope this helps a little or gives you some idea. also, get a 2 inch air cleaner from edelbrock and it will fit fine. i have vortec heads, rpm air-gap intake and a 750 edel. and it fit.

on my brothers car we just unbolted the fuel line on the drivers side and ran it down the passenger side of the car then reconnected the fuel line to the tank and used stock clips and the holes are already there to screw them into under the car on the passenger side it gives a much cleaner look to the engine compartment than running a line around inside the engine compartment and will only take about an hour to do

You will be suprised to see how much crown there is in the hood. Looks like it won't fit now but I have the same intake, Double pumper, drop base filter, and a 3" air filter right now. All fits under the stock hood.
