What should i go with?

Hello everyone just got a 84' thirdgen Z28 Auto. and already pulled the motor. I am thinking about putting in something bigger or stick with the stock 350 but modded. I dont have a **** load of money. I want to do something fast around the 400RWDHP or more mark. I have acouple grand to throw into this project. Thinking prolly LT1 but I would like to know the pros and cons with each option thanx!

well I have a buddy who owns a junkyard. he can get me a LT1 for pretty cheap. but I have no idea how hard it is to convert a 84 over to a newer engine style and drive train. and how much it may be.

Well, you now know your budget is the limit on your choices.

If a sweetheart deal on an LT1 is what fits the budget, we have Important/Useful stickies at the top of the forum like https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...threadid=84423 to answer the rest of your questions.

No such thing as a stock 350 in an '84.

what kinds of options do I have if I go back with a 350? Supercharger, etc... ? how much would i have to spend to get some real power out of it? like around 400-450hp at the wheels? Thank you for being patient. I am learning alot about these kinds of motors.

that depends on how big of a shot of nitros you get and how well you build the engine to handle it
