i was wondering what kind of things can you do to an LO3 to give it a little more juice? the engine will probably go in to a 95 S10 but i'm asking here since it's a thirdgen motor.

You could put an LT1 cam in it, with some tuning ..
Get TPI heads, ported and polished, new springs...
shorty headers 1 5/8, shift kit and vette servo.
pick a catback, it all comes out the the sound you want unless your looking for max HP.

Im kind of bias concerning the vette heads...
They're aluminium, which is good .. less weight
Tho they have a 58cc combustion chamber..
maybe thats why they make good power .. thus raised
compression.
Vortecs need a specific intake.. carbed isnt bad.. tho injected, its 400$
But they have the new still combustion chamber, more efficient..
And they're proven performers..
for 600 or so, you could get the prepped vortecs..
Id start porting what I have, or find a decently priced replacement
then later on, you could get something better ..

500$ for aluminum vette heads on ebay?? yeah right.. maybe thats the opening bid, most of these sales end at like 800, because some A-hole started a bidding war in the last 30seconds of the sale.. if i could get a set for 500$, fully assembled, cleaned, and in good condition, i would buy them now.

Foget the vette heads on an LO3. Not worth the cost unless you plan to use them on another motor down the road. Plus you would want to mill them since you would only have around 9.3:1 with an aluminum head on a 305. You want a 58cc chamber if it is an iron head. Check out the "new to TBI" stikcy at the top of the TBI forum. It has everything you want to know about modding your LO3.
