Can someone please explain the stock L98 exhaust?

Ok, Im lookin at swapping an 89 L98 into my car, Im not gonna have the money right away to put in a nice exhaust right away. So, I want to know how it is setup. The donor engine comes with the exhaust manifold so, what goes on from there? Does the stock Y pipe branch off into 1 or 2 cats? Where does it go from there? The catback, and thats it, right?

Thanks

It depends on what year car the L98 came out of. If the donor car has the "N10" rpo code then it has dual cats.

L98's came with both dual and single cat Y-pipes depending on options.

My L98 GTA had a single cat from the factory. No it has no cats.
