Which distributor for TPI ZZ4 ?
I have a 1988 305 TPI which is getting a new ZZ4.
Can I just swap over my current distributor with no mods?
If so, what should I check for wear on the distributor?
Am I likely to see any significant benefit by going to an aftermarket product?

Both have a factory roller cam, which requires use of a melonized distributor drive gear - which the 88 will have.
Your original distributor will be fine. The typical upgrades wouldn't hurt.
